Contemplation. Relationships. Just Action.
Kairos Collective is reimagining what it means to be a worshiping community — an intentional project where all are understood to be children of God.
A message for all those seeking refuge from a culture driven by success, image, busy-ness, and accumulation: Kairos Collective is striving to radically reimagine what a worshiping community can be — which includes building an intentionally multi-racial, LGBTQIA+-affirming community in which all are understood to be children of God.
We are grounded in intentional contemplative practices and prioritize rich, sustainable relationships that lead to acts of mercy and justice in our community.
Contemplative Prayer. Relationships. Just Action.

Our Goal
Through a mixture of purposeful action, consistent reflection, and deep relationships rooted in faith, we seek to cut through a culture consumed by image, busy-ness, “othering”, and accumulation to curate a space that offers peace and truly welcomes all.
The Way We Work
Acting communally, relationships, contemplation, and just action provide the foundation for the work and life of the Kairos Collective. The deep interconnectedness of these three practices define our sense of discipleship. Contemplation without relationship and just action is navel gazing. Relationship-absent contemplation and just action is a social club. Just action minus contemplation and relationship devolves into empty ideology. We strive to live wholistic lives together on a consistent basis. Experience Dinner Church or Living Faith or service gatherings or contemplative prayer with us to experience how we live this together.
The Reason for Our Being
We need more love in the world. We need brave people crossing the fractures in our communities which separate us. We need risk-takers striving for a stronger community knowing we will fail repeatedly. We need people willing to slow down and listen to one another in a world obsessed with speed and productivity. We need more sharing and less selling. We need more listening and less telling. We need a world which honors and celebrates the meek and the humble. We believe Jesus’ ministry and teachings provide direction for this.
A Kairos Experience
“I started attending gatherings with Kairos Collective a couple of years ago. I have most regularly joined Dinner Church but have also participated in a variety of other events. This community has become special to me because it has given me the opportunity to live out and affirm my Christian faith. These like-minded folks are seeking to build and live in community at also serve the larger Milwaukee community through just action. Kairos Collective was a huge support to my family when we needed extra hands in recent months. I look forward to going deeper, reaching wider with this community.”
